How did you come up with the name? The name Dynamic Edge came when we were brainstorming the vision and mission for the company. Dynamic and cutting-edge were two words that kept coming up. We see ourselves as dynamic in that we are focused on keeping up with the constant changes in the Physical Therapy world and making sure we are always ahead of the game in terms of providing our patients with the most dynamic, personalized care they could possibly receive. We also describe ourselves as cutting-edge because we are more than just a traditional physical-therapy business. We offer state of the art and cutting-edge techniques. One such example is functional dry-needling, which is used to treat myofascial pain, trigger points, neuromuscular dysfunction, and tissue adhesions. Dry needling has been shown to reduce pain in individuals with back pain, neck pain, TMJ, headaches and many other neuromuscular problems. When you see us, you can expect physical therapists who provide you with dynamic care using the most cutting-edge techniques offered.

Why start a business in this town? Wilton is a growing, thriving community, so it is a perfect time to bring Dynamic Edge Physiotherapy’s rehabilitation services to Wilton and the surrounding towns. Part of what attracted me to Wilton is that this community is one that cares about the health of its citizens. It is an active community and also has a wonderful family-feel. I am excited for Dynamic Edge to become a part of this community and look forward to helping the citizens of Wilton and the surrounding towns through my work as a Physical Therapist.

What business are you in? We are a Physical Therapy clinic that provides physical therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, neuromuscular rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal exams. Patrick also is a certified golf performance specialist and holds advanced certifications in Functional Dry Needling (FDN), and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner? As a start-up company, so the most difficult part so far has been navigating the ins-and-outs and starting a business from the ground up. There are so many components that go into starting a new business, so every day has been an adventure. Luckily, so many people in this community have offered us their insight and guidance which has made a tremendous difference! We have also found that the Chamber’s programs and support have helped us feel confident when faced with the challenges of being a new business.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening? The connections we’ve made in the community so far have been our proudest achievement. Dynamic Edge attended the Wilton Chamber of Commerce street fair in July and quickly knew this was the right place to open. Everyone was so friendly and excited for our business to open. We knew immediately that we truly loved being in Wilton. We were so thankful and humbled by the support we received at this event!

How does your business give back to the community? We see ourselves giving back to the community in many different ways. As we have seen an increasing number of students with sports related injuries, we definitely want to help the student population and their care givers in understanding how to prevent these injuries. We plan to offer free seminars on this topic sometime after school begins this year. We also plan on partnering with different community resources to lend our expertise and knowledge to the people of Wilton.

As we grow from a start-up company, we see ourselves becoming involved in sponsoring many of the wonderful activities and events this town has to offer. We would love to get to know some of our neighboring businesses in Wilton so that we can see the needs in the town and help out in any way we can. The core of our business is family values and Wilton is now part of our family. We will give back to the community in any way that we can.
