Wilton's Thanksgiving Day Forecast and Beyond

WILTON, CT — Earlier this week, Connecticut’s meteorologists, mentioned that there could be a wintry mix on Thanksgiving Day, but in an updated forecast Wednesday, that doesn’t look likely anymore. The Thanksgiving Day forecast still isn’t a great one but at least there won’t be wintry precipitation as we’re trying to get to our destinations. We may see some rain showers on Thanksgiving and the temperatures will remain colder over the next several days.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote “Some good news and bad news this morning. First of all, the odds of a coating of snow tomorrow have gone down as everything has moved a bit north. There still could be a touch of light wintry mix in some of the hill towns tomorrow evening. Now the bad news... the weekend is looking a bit more unsettled with scattered showers both Saturday and Sunday.”

An updated forecast via the National Weather Service:

Wednesday: Sunshine, temps in the low 40s but it will feel like its between 25-35 degrees because of the wind chill factor.
Thanksgiving: Chance for some showers and light rain. Cloudy with a high near 45.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high temp near 50 degrees. An occasional shower is possible.
Saturday: Early showers give way to partly sunny skies and a high temp near 50.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, high temp in the upper 40s.
