Amazon Eyes 2nd Facility In Windsor: Report
Amazon is looking to add a second major facility in Windsor, according to a report.

WINDSOR, CT — Amazon is looking to add a second major warehouse/distribution center in Windsor that officials say could add 1,000 new jobs, according to the Hartford Business Journal.
The Business Journal reports Amazon, which operates a fulfillment center on Old Iron Ore Road, has emerged as the prospective tenant for the proposed $50-million, 823,000-square-foot distribution hub on former tobacco farmland at 1201 Kennedy Road and 1 Joseph Lane.
Amazon plans to invest at least $200 million to build out the facility and is seeking a seven-year, 100 percent tax abatement, which the Town Council is expected to discuss at an upcoming meeting, according to the Hartford Business Journal. Amazon would save around $4 million to $5 million annually until the project is completed under the proposed abatement, the Business Journal reports.
