Man Sentenced In Windsor Murder Case

A Hartford man was sentenced in the 2016 killing of a Windsor man.

WINDSOR, CT — Arthur Stanley, 29, of Hartford, was sentenced to a mandatory life prison term for the 2011 murder of a Windsor man.

A jury found Stanley guilted in 2016 of engaging in a violent crime in aid of racketeering. The shooting on Oakland Terrace claimed the life of Keith Washington, 23, of Windsor.

Stanley was a member of the Westhell street gang and attempted to shoot and kill a rival gang member who was talking to Washington, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut. He was ordered to pay nearly $13,000 in restitution to Washington's family for funeral and related expenses.

Stanley previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack in federal court.
