Obituary: Grace Sieber, 95, Of Windsor

WINDSOR, CT - Grace Elizabeth (Abare) Sieber, age 95, of Windsor, wife of the late William L. Sieber, Sr. passed away on September 17, 2018. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Warren and Mary (Lewis) Abare, Grace lived in Windsor since 1950.

Grace was an active member for over 65 years of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker and oversaw her children’s activities through their early years, later employed by and retired from Hamilton Standard, Division of UT, with over 20 years service.

Grace leaves her children, William L. Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL, Ronald D. of Hillsborough, NC, Robert T. of Barefoot Bay, FL, Merrily Jean McAllister of Agawam, MA, and Paul Warren of Narragansett, RI; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister Joyce Whitehouse of Stuart, FL, and her life-long friend from childhood, Doris Cheney of Windsor. In addition to her husband, Bill Sr., Grace was predeceased by two sisters, Ardith Coburn and Dorothy Roy.

A Memorial Service will be held October 22, 11 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 180 Park Ave., Windsor followed by a reception in the church hall. Burial will be in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery with her husband Bill, a WWII Navy submariner who served on the U.S.S. Cavalla.
