Police Officer Injured During Windsor Fight

A Hartford police lieutenant and Windsor resident was struck in the head with a baseball bat while trying to break up a fight.

WINDSOR, CT - A Hartford police lieutenant and Windsor resident was struck in the head with a baseball bat when he was attempting to break up a fight near his home, according to The Hartford Courant. Lt. Paul West was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police were called to Overlook Drive Friday evening in response to a disturbance. A fight broke out and West tried to break it up when an unidentified person struck him in the head with a bat.
