Pondside Restaurant Closes In Windsor
The restaurant and banquet hall has operated under its current ownership for the past 10 years.

WINDSOR, CT — A rent increase has caused the owner of Vito's By the Water, a restaurant and banquet hall in the Day Hill section of Windsor, to shut its doors.
Owner Rob Maffucci told the Hartford Courant he will continue to fulfill event obligations through the end of this month at the facility, located at 1936 Blue Hills Avenue Extension (State Highway 187).
Maffucci opened Vito's By the Water in 2008; the site in the Griffin Office Park was formerly occupied by Cheffries by the Lake and Jonathan's Lakeside restaurants. The Maffucci family also operates restaurants in downtown Hartford and Wethersfield.
