State Boat Launch in Windsor Extends Closure
The launch at Rainbow Reservoir had been scheduled to open May 2, but the opening date has been postponed.
WINDSOR, CT - Boaters anxious to set their vessels into Rainbow Reservoir will have to wait a bit longer before they can do so.
The Rainbow Reservoir State Boat Launch, which had been scheduled to reopen May 2, will have a delayed opening. The new date is Friday, May 13, according to a statement from Department of Energy and Environmental Protection spokesman Dennis Schain.
Poor weather conditions delayed completion of a project for paving and redesign of the access road, parking lot and turning area, causing the delayed opening, Schain said.
