Suspect In Windsor Double Murder Surrenders To Police
A suspect from Windsor sought by U.S. Marshals has turned himself in.

WINDSOR, CT — A suspect in a double murder has surrendered himself to law enforcement Thursday morning, according to a statement from U.S. Marshals. Russell Smith is accused in the killing of brothers Aaron Walker, of Windsor, and Franklin Spencer, of East Hartford.
The crime occurred at Elizabeth's Bar and Restaurant in Bloomfield on Feb. 22. Smith was charged with two counts of murder and his bond was set at $5 million, according to a statement from the U.S. Marshals Service.
U.S. Marshals posted a $5,000 reward for information leading to Smith's capture earlier in the week. U.S. Marshals were contacted by associates and friends on Smith’s behalf for him to surrender Thursday morning.
