Windsor Gets Considerable Voter Support In Baseball Poll

The Warriors won seven of their first eight outings this season.

WINDSOR, CT — A hot stretch of seven wins in eight games to open the season enabled Windsor High School to amass considerable voter support in the weekly poll of sports media members.

The Warriors (7-1 through April 29) are scheduled to visit Bloomfield Wednesday, then host Hopkinton (MA) Saturday afternoon.

Fairfield Prep (10-1) collected 10 of 12 first-place votes to move into the top spot in the latest balloting.

Also receiving votes: Windsor (7-1), Cheshire (8-2), Hamden (8-2), Shepaug Valley (10-0), St. Joseph (8-3), New Milford (7-3), Montville (7-2), Ridgefield (8-3), East Hartford (8-2), Bacon Academy (8-1), Granby Memorial (8-2), Amity Regional (7-4).
