Windsor Man Sentenced In Drug Overdose Case

Timothy Charlemagne was sentenced to federal prison for selling drugs in an overdose case.

WINDSOR, CT — A Windsor man has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for selling heroin and fentanyl to an overdose victim, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Timothy Charlemagne, aka "Red," 44, will also serve three years of supervised release.

Police and medical personnel responded to an untimely death at a home in Enfield on April 11, 2015. Investigators seized 30 empty wax folds from the bedroom where the victim and the victim’s cell phone were found.

Investigation revealed that the victim had purchased heroin combined with fentanyl from Charlemagne shortly before the victim died, according to prosecutors.

Charlemagne was arrested Dec. 20, 2017. He later pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribution, and distribution of, controlled substances.
