Windsor Man Who Torched Family Home To Avoid Jail: Report

A man who set fire to his divorcing parents' home in 2017 was sentenced to probation.

WINDSOR, CT — A Windsor man who set fire to his divorcing parents' home in March 2017 was sentenced to five years of probation as part of a plea bargain, The Journal-Inquirer reported. Brian Comeau, 29, will serve 10 years in prison if he violates the conditions of his probation.

Comeau had pleaded guilty to second-degree arson. His father, Stephen Comeau, was living in the house at the time but wasn't home during the fire, which destroyed the 1229 Matianuck Ave. residence.
