Windsor Obituary: Alexander Nepor, 90

Condolences to his family and friends.

Alexander Nepor, 90, passed away on June 24, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia.

A long-time resident of Windsor, he was employed for over forty years at Pratt and Whitney. He was a founding member of St. Panteleimon Russian Orthodox Church in Hartford. Alex most enjoyed working at the church and spending time with the "love of his life," his late wife, Lidija. He was very devoted to her and they were inseparable.

He leaves behind his son Nicholas Nepor, of Atlanta, GA, his daughter Nina Rosen and her husband Jerome of Lake Worth, FL and East Hampton, his nieces Galina and Valentina in Germany and his nephews Alexander and Walter Filatov of Reno, NV and an extended and loving family. Alex was predeceased by his wife, Lidija (Filatov) Nepor, his brother Ivan and his sister Lidia. He will be deeply missed by his family.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Panteleimon Russian Orthodox Church, 19 Becket St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. Visiting hours will be on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield.
