
Anne B. (Yuskavitch) McCabe died peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Gardner “Mac” H. McCabe.
Anne was born in Hartford on March 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anastasia Yuskavitch. Anne was a resident of Windsor, and graduated from John Fitch High School in 1943. She went to work as a secretary and telephone operator at a manufacturing company in Hartford.
After marrying Mac, they moved to Humphrey Street in Simsbury to the home he built. She was a resident of Simsbury for 64 years. Anne was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, belonging to the Ladies Guild for many years.

Anne was a homemaker and her greatest joy was taking care of her husband and family. Mac and Anne were a wonderful example of a good marriage. They enjoyed traveling and sharing laughter. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and relished in their milestones and accomplishments.
Anne enjoyed sports all her life: belonging to the golf league at Simsbury Farms, skiing, tennis, paddle tennis, round and square dancing. She had an artistic flare for decorating, needlework and creating beautiful ceramics. Anne had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing. Her caring smile, social demeanor, and kind words will be missed.

Anne is survived by her husband of 66 years Gardner “Mac” H. McCabe of Simsbury, her son: Robert C. McCabe (Laura) of East Granby her daughters: Kathleen A. Purslow (William) of Laconia, NH, Diane Weston of Cape Coral, FL, her grandchildren: Adrienne Shoemaker (Joseph), Laura Cattabriga (Anthony), Elizabeth Sack (William), Robert McCabe (Nicole), Karen McCabe, Rebecca McCabe, Lindsey Wray (Steve), 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Anthony and Victor Yuskavitch, her sisters Genevieve Stankowitz and Amelia Craifak.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
