Windsor Obituary: James Cezus, 90

Condolences to his family and friends.

James C. Cezus, 90, of Windsor and South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Daniels) Cezus, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Born in Windsor to the late Joseph and Freda (Buvid) Cezus, he served his country proudly with the US Navy and lived most of his life in Windsor before retiring to Port Charlotte, Florida. Jim returned to Connecticut (South Windsor) last year.

Jim was a talented carpenter and worked for the City of Hartford. He built his family’s home and many other things for them. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing but his main focus was his family who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his son Jim Cezus of Enfield; his daughters, Janet Maune and her husband Bill of Middletown and Nancy Small and her husband John of South Windsor; his grandchildren, Daniel Cezus, Andrew Cezus, John Small and Michael Small. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Cezus and his sister Mary Bakas.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 6 at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor. His family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
