Windsor Obituary: Olive Sands, 90

Condolences to her family and friends.

Olive Niles (Cooper) Sands, of East Hartford, departed to her eternal home on June 19, 2018, at the age of 90.

She was born Olive Niles Cooper, daughter of the late Frederick and Lucina (Niles) Cooper, formerly of Windsor. She was predeceased by husbands Donald Cicero and Stilson Sands; sons Donald and Michael Cicero; brothers Herbert Cooper and Henry Cooper; sisters Margaret Allen and Louise Dunn.

She was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company for over 25 years before her retirement. She was fiercely loyal and loving to her entire family and she will be missed. Her smile lit up the room and she loved to laugh and recite her family’s history, as its official historian.
