Windsor Seeks to End 27-Year Baseball Drought

WINDSOR, CT — The last time Windsor High School won a state baseball championship, George H.W. Bush was president, a gallon of gasoline cost $1.14 and Mike Trout was seven months in utero in Vineland, N.J.

The Warriors seek to win it all for the first time since 1991, as pairings were announced Friday. Windsor, the top seed in Class L, hosts the winner of the Weston/Bunnell qualifying game Tuesday.

Top seeds in the four divisions are Fairfield Prep (LL), Windsor (L), Haddam-Killingworth (M) and Shepaug Valley (S).
