Winter Team State Championship History: Windsor High School
Windsor High School teams have won 14 state titles in winters past.
WINDSOR, CT — As practices for Connecticut high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the 14 CIAC winter team titles won by Windsor High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).
- girls indoor track (6) - Class L: 2018, 2017, 2016, 2012, 2011; State Open: 2016
- boys basketball (4) - Class L: 2014; Class LL: 2009, 1999, 1998
- boys indoor track (2) - Class L: 2015, 2012
- boys ice hockey (1) - Div. II: 2018*
- girls basketball (1) - Class LL: 2004
