Wrong-Way Driver Hits Police Cruiser In I-91 Crash

A woman driving the wrong way on I-91 struck a police car early Sunday morning.

WINDSOR, CT — A woman was arrested on accusations that she drove the wrong way on Interstate 91 north and struck a police cruiser early Sunday morning, according to state police. Latifah Roldan, 31, of 1327 Burnside Ave. Apt. B3 in East Hartford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving the wrong-way on a divided highway, and second-degree reckless endangerment.

State police received multiple 911 calls around 1:30 a.m. regarding a wrong-way driver on I-91 north in the area of Exit 36 in Windsor. Police then saw a Toyota sedan driven by Roldan going the wrong way near Exit 33 in Hartford.

Roldan's cat then hit a police cruiser, according to state police. The trooper was transported to Hartford Hospital for medical evaluation and released.

Roldan failed field sobriety tests and was arrested, according to police. She was released on $5,000 bond and will appear in court June 30.
