Baby Badly Injured in East Windsor

An infant has been seriously injured in East Windsor.

On Tuesday at 11 p.m., the East Windsor Police Department was notified that a 6 and ½ month old infant was presented at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford with significant non-life threatening injuries.

The injuries consisted of bruising to the infant’s head, torso, and extremities, and the infant was held for observation.

The child was in foster care and residing within the town of East Windsor.

The child had a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday, and was healthy, reports NBC Connecticut. The child then visited with the biological parents and grandparents. Between that visit and Tuesday evening, the foster parents noticed the injuries.

All parties are cooperating with the East Windsor Police Detective Bureau and Department of Children and Family Service investigation and police are trying to figure out where else the child was, who he or she might have been with, and who is responsible for the injuries.
