Neighbor News

Caring and Sharing

Do you know your neighbors?

This country has gone through a really horrible year, thus far. From a continued coup to impeach the President to Lil Kim and his threatening missiles and from Corvid-19 to the most recent riots and shootings. What can we, as individuals do to help each other?

One of the most simple acts of kindness we can do for each other, is to keep tabs on one another. When is the last time you saw your neighbor? With Corvid, most people have been hunkering down. But, do they still get their mail from their mail box? Do they water the lawn? What are they doing and are they ok?

Have you noticed any strangers in their yards or cars that don't seem to belong, that you have not seen before? Are packages piling up? Have you seen or heard their dog?

During these times of stress, criminals love to take advantage, knowing you are there, maybe all alone, and no one is bothering to check because of this Corvid-19. Not everyone has a large family that brings the grand-kids by to knock on the window with their cute signs.

As they say folks, "If you see something, say something." That goes for your neighbors as well. If you haven't seen them in a week, find out why. Call them, call the police to do a well check, or go over yourself and see how they are. YOU knock on their window. Be the person, that they are "In this together with."
