Christmas 2015: Holiday Movie Schedule

Here is a schedule on when your favorite Christmas specials and holiday season movies will be broadcast.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — watching a plethora of holiday movies, favorites from childhood and new ones that are sure to become popular with the kids.

This year is the golden anniversary of the first broadcast the beloved Christmas program, ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas.’ Before the 9 p.m. (EST) broadcast Monday night, ABC will air an anniversary special at 8 p.m. hosted by Kristen Bell and featuring the iconic music of Vince Guaraldi. There also will be appearances by Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Morrison, Sarah McLachlan; Boyz II Men; Pentatonix; David Benoit; and the All-American Boys Chorus.

Among the offerings this season is Wednesday night’s special featuring the lighting of New York City’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. So forget braving the crowds — watch the NBC broadcast in the comforts of home. Ditto when it comes to New Year’s Eve! You can catch ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’ and ‘New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly’ on Dec. 31.
