EAST WINDSOR, CT — For Jace Rucinski, Saturday started out like any normal day, playing with his mom and dad in the yard of their home on Rice Road. Late in the morning, however, things became anything but normal for the boy celebrating his fourth birthday.

Having moved from Appleton, Wisconsin within the last few years and with Jace not having started preschool yet, Rayleen and Tim Rucinski know very few people in northern Connecticut. Rayleen got together with her children's nanny, Danielle Pierson, and Danielle's mom Pam to organize a special birthday event for her son.

The trio took to social media to see if anyone would be interested in participating in a drive-by parade for the boy who "likes fast cars." His dad said, "He will always point out if a car has a spoiler."

The response was more than they could have imagined, as more than 30 vehicles of all shapes and sizes gathered in the parking lot of nearby Revay's to give the youngster the thrill of his short lifetime.

There were classic cars, muscle cars, motorcycles, decorated vehicles, an antique pickup truck - a little bit of everything on the short procession to the Rucinski home. The smile on Jace's face grew bigger with each passing vehicle.
