EAST WINDSOR, CT — For nearly half a century, volunteers from East Windsor and surrounding communities have been on a mission to provide supplemental food and hygiene items to local residents in need through the Five Corner Cupboard food pantry.

Located at 140 Phelps Road on the grounds of the First Congregational Church of East Windsor, the pantry, which opened in 1973, currently serves about 700 individuals via referral from area clergy and East Windsor Human Services.

The entirely volunteer staff takes donations and stocks shelves on Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The pantry is open for shoppers Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and again from 1 to 6 p.m.
