East Windsor Police Still Seeking Hatchet-Wielding Robber

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Police are analyzing surveillance video and other evidence as they continue to try identifying a man who wielded a hatchet during an armed robbery Saturday at a gas station and convenience store on Route 140.

Around 3:15 p.m., a white man wearing sunglasses and a mask entered the Valero station at 148 North Road and demanded cash from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and the man fled in a dark-colored Mercury SUV, Sgt. Matthew Carl said.

No injuries were reported.
