Why start a business in this town?
I love the idea of being on “Main Street” and East Windsor/Broad Brook has been great to work with.

What business are you in?
Bookstore.
What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
I’m always trying to get the word out that our bookstore is here.
What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?
I can think of a few: celebrating our 1 year anniversary in 2014 with a party including East Windsor First Selectman Denise Menard and Selectman Dale Nelson, hosting WFSB’s Kara Sundlun for our largest author event to date, hosting New York Time Best Selling author Kimberly McCreight (Reconstructing Amelia) from New York in 2014 (she’ll be back 6/13/15 to sign Where They Found Her).
How does your business give back to the community?
Our store is a drop off point for the Five Corners Food Pantry food donations. We volunteer at the East Windsor Senior Center to lead their monthly book club. Our book discussions and author events are free to attend.
