Fundraisers Underway to Aid Burglarized East Windsor Businesses
Three East Windsor businesses were broken into during the overnight hours Sunday into Monday, according to police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Members of the East Windsor community are rallying to support three local businesses which were victimized by burglaries late Sunday night into Monday morning.
An estimated $2,000 worth of damage was caused at each of the businesses: Rick's II Auto Repair at 140 South Main Street, Town & Country Auto Body at 176 North Road, and Golden Irene Restaurant at 18 Mullen Road.
The burglar took some cash out of the register at Rick's, but did not get anything at the other two businesses. Upon smashing the register at Golden Irene, however, the suspect completely destroyed the restaurant's point of sale system, prohibiting it from conducting regular business, Sgt. Derek Leab said.
