EAST WINDSOR, CT — Police are seeking a man suspected of robbing a woman leaving the Walmart store on Route 5 Monday night, who eluded officers pursuing his vehicle on Interstate 91.

At 9:26 p.m., police received a report that an Hispanic man had confronted a woman leaving the store, and threatened her with a knife. He fled in a silver Volkswagen, which East Windsor police spotted heading south on the highway. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled and police terminated the pursuit, Det. Sgt. Matthew Carl said.

"This vehicle and the occupant are suspected of similar robberies in South Windsor and New Britain," Carl said.
