Letter to the Editor: Reelection Support for Steven Wawruck, Michelle Hill and Steve Brown

Selectman Wawruck has done an outstanding job improving our town. With his hard work, he has transformed our Town hall from an old neglected building, to a landmark in our town where we should be proud to be residents of.

He has secured grants to improve our town's streets, water and sewer lines and installed or replaced sidewalks where needed. With his continued efforts and future planning, I believe our town will be one where people will feel safe going out for a walk in their neighborhoods without having to worrying about walking in the roadway due to not having sidewalks.

He has stood behind and supported his department managers i.e. Chief of Police and Superintendent of Schools. These are two of the most important departments in our town.

When people look to purchase a home, or move to town to rent or lease , the first two things that come to mind are, " is the town safe, and how is the school system? With Chief Osanitsch and Superintendent Sweeney at the helm, we can answer that question by saying we are proud of both our school system which is constantly on the rise, and we have a new Chief who has brought professionalism back to the force and improved the moral of the officers.

When the Voters go to the polls on November 5th 2013, they need to look around at our town and ask themselves, has First Selectman Wawruck done a good job representing our town and the interests of our town's people, the answer is yes, and therefore he deserves your vote.

Michelle Hill and Steve Brown are two very knowledgeable and dedicated candidates. They have proven track records that prove they are out for the best interests of the Town and its citizens. They are two candidates that will always put the town first over any personal agendas. They also understand our town's departments' needs to progress and continue to provide services to our residence while being fiscally responsible. I believe Mrs. Hill and Mr. Brown are the right people for our Finance board who will continue to listen to the taxpayers needs and will keep are town moving in the positive direction it is going.

Sincerely, Sebastian Garofalo
