Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Windsor Crash With Truck

The crash occurred late Tuesday morning in front of the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 140, according to police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A motorcyclist was seriously injured late Tuesday morning in a collision with a pickup truck on Route 140 in front of Dunkin' Donuts, according to police.

Around 11 a.m., officers working a distracted driving detail in the area of North and Prospect Hill roads were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. An investigation revealed a Dodge pickup truck was making a left turn into the Dunkin' parking lot from the eastbound lane when a westbound motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the truck, Lt. Matthew Carl said.

The motorcycle operator was taken to St. Francis Hospital with serious injuries and remains hospitalized at this time. The names of both drivers have not yet been released, Carl said.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash. The investigation continues by the East Windsor Police Department with the assistance of the Metro Traffic Unit, Carl said.
