Pequot League Coach-of-the-Year Initiates July Football Camp

Brian Mazzone aims to introduce boys and girls to the fun of non-contact football.

Brian Mazzone revived the Stafford/Somers/East Windsor Bulldogs from a no-win season in 2015 to State Title contenders in 2016. The effort earned him Pequot League coach-of the-year honors. Mazzone, however, just wants boys and girls to have fun in the youth football camp he is starting in July in Stafford. That means replacing the rough-and-tumble reputation of the sport in a non-contact skills camp for boys and girls entering third to eighth grade. Catching and throwing skills and teamwork will be emphasized.

The Mazzone Football Clinic LLC will run July 10 to 14 at Stafford High School from 9am to 12pm. Cost is $85 per child.
