Picture Windsor Locks - Then And Now
An old photo and brief story from Windsor Locks history, and how that site appears today.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — We return today to the great photo book Images of America: Windsor Locks, compiled by Leslie Matthews Stansfield in 2003. On page 61, we see the home of J.E. Mooney at 101 Oak Street. According to town property records, the 2,412 square-foot brick Colonial was built in 1885.
Next door, at 105 Oak, Mooney owned a store on the ground floor of a 5,582 square-foot building constructed in 1898. The second floor contained a funeral parlor, and the top floor served as a dance hall. Really.
Today, 101 Oak is still a private residence, while 105 Oak is now an apartment building.
