Police: Man Burglarized Room At Windsor Lock's Quality Inn

A local man was arrested Friday for allegedly burglarizing a Windsor Locks hotel room in October.
On Oct. 25, a man tried to burglarize a hotel room at the Quality Inn on Elia Grasso Turnpike in Windsor Locks, only to be interrupted by the two occupants of the room, according to police. Police later determined the man was Abdullah Rashid, and arrested him on Friday at his home, according to press release from the Windsor Locks Police Department.
Rashid, 62, of 19 Greenland St, Windsor Locks, was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal attempt of sixth-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace. He is being held on a $75,000 surety bond and is expected in court on Dec. 2. Â
