Windsor Locks, East Windsor Set to Open Softball Tournaments
The Raiders and Panthers each open state tournament play on the road Tuesday.

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Looking to end a 40-year dry spell, the Windsor Locks High School softball team begins its quest for a Class S state championship Tuesday.
The 31st-seeded Raiders, which won the Class M title in 1978, will open the tournament with a game at No. 2 St. Paul, as pairings were announced Friday morning.
East Windsor will also be competing in Class S, seeded 26th, and will travel to No. 10 Thomaston on Tuesday. The Panthers have never won a state softball title.

Top seeds in the four divisions are Southington (LL), Masuk (L), Northwestern Regional (M) and Stafford (S).
