Each year at this time I have the honor and privilege of recognizing some of our
outstanding students with the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendent’s
Award.
The Superintendent’s Award Recognition Program was originated by the Public
Information Committee of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents.
Held in November, these awards provide the superintendents in the State of Connecticut an
opportunity to recognize student leaders and achievers.
This is a highly selective award program, with only two awards given per school in grades
5, 8 and 12. The recognition of the students chosen is based upon:
ï‚· Community service and service to others
ï‚· Academic prowess
ï‚· Leadership service in the school community

In Windsor Locks Public Schools we have chosen to recognize two students, each in their
final year, at the Windsor Locks High School, the Windsor Locks Middle School, and
South Elementary School. I’m pleased to announce this year’s winners:
Lia Quagliaroli and Aiden Hoffman – South Elementary
Tehya Morris and Logan Tuttle – Windsor Locks Middle School
Olivia Koretz and Benjamin Conniff – Windsor Locks High School
This is one of the highlights of the school year for me, as I am always impressed with the
quality of students in the Windsor Locks Public Schools.
