Windsor Locks Sports Complex Expects $15 Million In 1st Year

Developers said that the new complex would make $15 million in its first year.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - An economic study by the developers of a proposed sports complex found that the project would generate $15 million of local spending in its inaugural year, according to the Journal-Inquirer. That number would increase to $27 million after five years.

The developer is seeking the creation of a tax-increment financing district for the project to go foward.

JABS Sports Management LLC has filed a general plan of development for the complex, which would be constructed on a tobacco farm between Interstate 91 and Old County Road. Plans call for an outdoor stadium and indoor arena, with synthetic turf playing surfaces for numerous sports.
