Windsor Locks Train Station Moves Forward

The state has plans to allocate $65 million toward a new downtown train station.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - The state Department of Transportation has requested to allocate $65 million for a new Windsor Locks train station, according to The Journal-Inquirer. The matter will be discussed at the State Bond Commission's Aug. 30 meeting.

The new Hartford Line station is slated to replace the current train station on the town's south end. The new location will be downtown in an effort to increase usability.

The new station will feature additional upgrades for the tracks, crossings, and signals, The Journal-Inquirer reported.
