WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A woman was stabbed to death inside a home early Monday afternoon, and a man who called 911 was charged with murder in connection with her death, police said.

The emergency call was received around 1 p.m., prompting police to rush to the scene and make contact with the caller. The woman had sustained fatal knife wounds, and showed no signs of life upon police arrival. She was declared dead by EMS personnel, police said.

The man, who is related to the victim, was charged with murder. He is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bond, and is slated to be arraigned Tuesday in Hartford Superior Court, police said.

"Due to stringent State of CT domestic violence laws, we cannot release anything further," police said in a written statement. "This includes any history of the people involved, address, medical conditions/issues, booking or other photos. There are no other suspects and this is an isolated domestic incident with no danger to the general public."
