IDs Released of 2 People Found Dead Inside CT Home : Report

UPDATE: Police say John Walton Jr., 90, and Irene Walton, 87, were both found dead inside their Watertown house Tuesday morning as a result of an apparent murder-suicide, Fox 61 reports. They were both married and suffered from "serious medical issues," Fox 61 reports.

John Walton Jr. was a former council member and he served on the police commission.

WATERTOWN, CT — Two people were found dead inside a Phillips Drive house Tuesday morning, NBC Connecticut reports. Police responded to gunshots around 7 a.m. and found a 90-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman dead inside the house.

WTNH News 8 reports that its being investigated as a likely murder-suicide. The names of the two deceased has not been released. Police stress there is no threat to the public.
