Burglar Swipes 130 Packs Of Newports In Naugatuck, Middlebury
Police are searching for the suspect who in one case tossed a boulder through the door, police said.

NAUGATUCK/MIDDLEBURY, CT — Naugatuck and Middlebury police are searching for the suspects behind two recent burglaries. On Christmas at 1:09 AM Naugatuck Police were dispatched to 531 North Main Street, Sunoco Gas Station for a report of a commercial burglary.
Access was gained by kicking through the front glass door. As a result approximately 60 cartons of Newport cigarettes were taken, police said.
Several minutes prior to this robbery, the Mobil gas station in Middlebury, Route 63 was burglarized. In that burglary, access was gained by throwing a boulder through the glass door. As a result approximately 70 “packs” of Newport cigarettes were taken, police said.

Attached are photos of the two suspects during the Middlebury Burglary (*Note that the photo quality is not great – but we have to work with what we are provided, police said). As of right now police have no vehicle description, however it appeared that the suspect may have parked up by Riverside Motors in the Naugatuck Burglary.
