WOODBURY – Fire destroyed a residence under construction in Woodbury at first light Saturday Jan 9th. About 15 Woodbury firefighters responded along with mutual aid fire equipment from four neighboring towns. There were no injuries reported among workmen or firefighters and the cause was under investigation, said Woodbury Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan. The fire was called in at 0645am after neighbors reported hearing an explosion in the Strong Field development near the corner of Middle Road Turnpike and Route 6.
