Firefighters Extricate Car Crash Victim - Two Hurt

Head-on Crash on Washington Rd, Woodbury-- Two Injured Midday Friday Sept 11, 2020

WOODBURY – More than a dozen volunteer firefighters from Woodbury and Washington worked to extricate a trapped and badly injured driver from a two-car head-on crash between a sedan and a pickup truck at noon on Washington Rd at the Washington-Woodbury townline Friday Sept 11th, 2020. The other injured driver was able to exit his vehicle. There were no passengers.

Both drivers were hospitalized with injuries. Woodbury’s Rescue truck responded to the scene along with a Rescue truck and an Engine truck from Washington. A Nissan Leaf and a Ford 4x4 Super Duty Pickup Truck were involved in the incident near the Woodbury ski area. The cause of the accident is under investigation, fire officials said.
