The Charity Golf Tournament features 160 participants, including Jack Nicklaus II.

From Gemma Power: Gemma Power Systems, LLC (GPS) sponsored and hosted a golf tournament last week at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens benefitting four local community non-profit organizations. The charity tournament raised more than $70,000 for the following Connecticut organizations: the Middlebury Food Bank, the Oxford Food Bank, the Oxford Parent Teacher Organization and the Southbury Food Bank. The event also featured an appearance by former PGA Tour professional and renowned golf course architect, Jack Nicklaus II.

"A large part of the project experience we provide is the positive and enduring effect we have on the local community. We’re extremely pleased to support these local organizations which provide critical and essential services to Oxford and the surrounding communities. We’d like to thank our customer, Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) and our many subcontractors and suppliers for joining us in this fundraiser," said Daniel L. Martin, President of Gemma Power Systems.

“CPV Towantic Energy Center is pleased to join with Gemma Power Systems to support the Oxford Parent Teachers Organization and three local food banks," said Dan Nugent, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Competitive Power Ventures. "This initiative supports the vital work of these critical organizations and we are pleased that Gemma has organized this event in alignment with CPV's mission to partner with the local communities where our facilities are located."
