Litchfield County Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens

The county's first medical marijuana dispensary is opening in Torrington.

TORRINGTON, CT — The first medical marijuana dispensary in Litchfield County opened Thursday. Still River Wellness, one nine new dispensaries across the state, will begin accepting registered patients and caregivers at its 3568 Winsted Road facility in the old Still River Plaza in Northern Torrington.

Per state law, patients must register with Still River Wellness and show a valid, government-issued ID along with their state issued Medical Marijuana certification, according to a statement from Still River.

The Torrington dispensary facility will accept cash, debit cards, or credit cards with a pin number for purchases.

“We want to thank the City of Torrington and the Department of Consumer Protection for the support they have provided over these past months of preparation of the opening these past months of planning and preparation for opening,” said Thomas Macre Jr, the Director of Operations for Still River. “Our pharmacists and experienced, professional staff look forward to welcoming new patients and caregivers and are excited to learn how we can best serve their needs.”

The facility will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
