Long-Serving Middlebury First Selectman Will Run Again

Edward B. St. John says he wants to serve one final term.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — First Selectman Edward B. St. John said he will seek another term, according to The Waterbury Republican-American. St. John is the longest-serving selectman and has been in the position for more than 30 years.

St. John served in the position from 1983 to 2007. Then he ran again in 2011 and has been in office since. Due to term limits, this will be his final run.

He said he hopes to finish the final phase of a capital project that is improving the city's buildings and road infrastructure.
