Mermaid Collages, Movies at New Morning and More

Check out what is going on in your area this week.

  • All this week area teens can attend a 'maker camp' at the Woodbury Public Library. The camp meets daily at 3 p.m. and includes making "squishy circuits" with conductive dough, light up robot pins and other LEGO projects.
  • Director of the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NY, will introduce the film 'In the Valley of the Wolves' an Emmy Award-winning film by Bob Landis in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone, and lead a discussion afterwards, at New Morning Market on Tuesday.
  • Using a variety of materials, students can create a mixed media mermaid collage - or under the sea collage as part of the "Beneath the Surface" summer reading program for grades 6 -12.
