Mutual Security Credit Union Community Shred Day

Giving back to the community is one of the many ways a credit union is different from a bank. Shred Day is a great example of that. By providing an opportunity for you to shred your personal documents safely, Mutual Security Credit Union is contributing to a larger effort to secure and elevate the financial well-being of our community!

We invite the community to stop by Mutual Security Credit Union's Watertown branch located at 764 Straits Turnpike on Saturday, November 7th from 9am to 12pm to shred up to five, bank-sized files boxes of their unwanted personal documents.

All we ask from the community is to help us make sure St. Vincent De Paul Mission Food Pantry is well stocked for the holidays. Please bring unopened canned goods and non-perishable items to support the St. Vincent De Paul Mission Food Pantry and you may shred up to five banker boxes of documents.

Items eligible to shred include:

• Bank Statements
• Pay Stubs
• Credit Card Applications
• Junk Mail
• Canceled and Voided Checks
• Documents containing sensitive information like your social security number, account numbers, passwords, pins, signature and private contact information

Due to COVID-19, we're offering contactless shredding: When you arrive, please remain in your vehicle and have your shred items ready in your trunk or the back seat. We will have our representatives greet you and shred the unwanted documents.
