Nonnewaug Improves Position In Latest Girls Soccer Poll

The Chiefs moved up a spot in the latest weekly balloting by high school coaches.

WOODBURY, CT — Some flip-flopping took place at the top of the weekly Class M/S high school girls soccer poll, with the top four teams trading positions.

Despite receiving one fewer first-place vote, Notre Dame-Fairfield edged into the top spot ahead of defending Class M champion Granby Memorial, with Immaculate and North Branford rounding out the top four.

Nonnewaug moved up a spot, placing seventh in the most recent balloting.

The first four positions remained unchanged in Class LL/L, with defending LL champion Ridgefield collecting all five first-place votes for the second straight week. Staples, Suffield and St. Joseph maintained spots two through four.

Here are the top 10 in each category, including last week's ranking and with first place votes in parentheses. Also include are all other teams receiving votes.
