Obituary: Lori (Duszak) Johnson, 62, of Middlebury

Lori, deeply devoted to her family, operated her own daycare for many years and also worked at local bookstores.

MIDDLEBURY, CT - (From Naugatuck Valley Memorial Funeral Home) Lori (Duszak) Johnson, age 62, beloved wife of Robert Johnson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday December 19, 2020.

Born in Derby, CT on March 6, 1958, she was the daughter of Chester H. and Kathryn (Greco) Duszak.

She grew up in Shelton, Ct where she attended St. Michael's Catholic School and Shelton High School. Lori later moved to Naugatuck.

She had a home daycare for many years. She also worked at Waldenbooks and Borders and thoroughly enjoyed the bookstore business.

She lived in Middlebury for the last three years.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed the holidays, hosting family dinners and picnics, her pets, trips to the casino, Rhode Island, South Carolina, NYC, going to concerts, 70’music, and reminiscing with old friends.

In addition to her husband Robert, Lori leaves her daughter, Jodi Luchina and her husband Andrew of Naugatuck; her loving granddaughters, Katie and Carly Luchina; her nephew Shawn Donovan and his wife Elizabeth (Katelyn & Chelsea) of Prospect, her niece Tara Lamoureux and her husband Kevin (Mya & Allie) of Berlin, special cousins Sheri Jaser, Linda Janos, Steven Greco, several other cousins and extended family, and a small zoo.

She was predeceased by her sister Deborah Donovan and her parents.
