Obituary: Marilyn Engelman, 92, Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, CT - (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home) Marilyn Engelman, 92, passed away, December 24, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Atty. Morton Engelman.

Mrs. Engelman was born December 21, 1928, in Maplewood, NJ, the daughter of the late Max and Frieda (Turkenkopf) Gross.

She was a longtime kindergarten teacher at Falls Ave and Polk Schools in the Watertown School System.

She also served proudly on the Middlebury Library Board for 60 years.

Mrs. Engelman is survived by her two sons, Atty. Lawrence Engelman, of Oxford, CT and his wife, Deyanira, and her other son, Donald Engelman of Fresno, California and his wife, Katie.

She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Rachael Engelman.

Conor Engelman, Jacob Engelman and Cooper Engelman.

Arrangements – Funeral services were held privately in Melchizedek Cemetery.

Shiva will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury is assisting with arrangements.
